Hallo,

wir haben am 10.05.2003 im Limburger Dom geheiratet und ich habe damals von Eurer Abreise in der NLP gelesen. Seit dieser Zeit schaue ich unregelmäßig auf Eurer Seite vorbei. Ich stamme aus Blumenrod, bin Abijahrgang 1985 Tilemannschule, wir wohnen seit 2001 in Düsseldorf, meine Frau kommt aus Wilhelmshaven; mittlerweile sind 2 Kinder dazugekommen (5 und 1,8 Jahre alt).
Schafft Ihr mehr als 16 Jahre?

Ich bin hin und weg gewesen was ich da las! Vor allen über die Gastfreundschaft in denen achso gefährlichen Länder! Hut ab (und wieder auf) vor der Leistung die Ihr abliefert! Ich bewundere Euren Mut zu solch einer Reise, und hoffe wenn Ihr zurückkommt das Ihr einen Abend ... äähm eine Woche macht wo Ihr das Erlebte ausführlich preisgebt! ((-:

Meine Hochachtung vor Eurer Tour, Eurem Engagement unterwegs! Wir treiben uns zwar auch ab und an ein Weilchen in der Gegend rum, aber sechs Jahre, über 70Tkm, das ist schon der Hammer. Vielleicht lernen wir uns ja irgendwann sogar mal kennen, kommen schließlich aus Weilmünster.
Euch also noch erlebnisreiche Tage bis zur Wiederkehr nach Deutschland. Und: So ein Ding mit rechteckiger Platte und vier Holzstützen an den Ecken nennt man "Tisch". ;-) (kleine Vorbereitung für zuhause...)

Thanks for sending the book, Native American Testimony, a seldem seen book, with the vantage point from the non-history writer's perspective. I'm sure the cost of sending it out-weighed the purchase. So, I'll get around to at least refunding you the shipping price for the book. And seeing how I have yet to find a $20 bill hidden in my house, maybe I'll make an additional deposit for you keeping your word.

verfolge eure Berichte schon ne Weile, also genauer seit 1 Jahr. Seit dem sind wir dabei unseren Ausstieg und das neue Leben zu planen: mit Fahrrädern und zwei Hunden. Im Juli geht es los :-))) Alles ist geplant und organisiert.
Manchmal überkommt mich dann doch ein wenig Angst vor dem ungewissen... dann schau ich auf eure Seiten und weiß, dass es richtig ist.
Bin gespannt, ob wir auch so weit durchhalten.

After riding across Canada by myself, I can see I have a long way to go to catch up with you guys. 75,000kms and still going - how terrific is that. Keep it up and ride safe.

We're two swiss cyclists currently touring in the US, following mostly the same route as yours 2-3 weeks later. We met Carl and his girlfriend in Williams, Arizona, who gave us your booklet. We had a great time reading your stories, an I've got to say it helped giving us back the will to go on touring, something we lacked at the time (we were spending too much and were really wondering why we were travelling by bike in the land of cars, to say it all...). Now I've got a serious problem, though: I want one of these folding canoes!

I wish you the best of luck, viel spass, and wonderful touring in this beautiful country. And as the americans tell us all the time: be careful ;-)

Wir hatten gerade Mittwoch und auf die Frage wie lange sie denn schon unterwegs wären meinten sie trocken: "Seit letzten Dienstag"......Noch erstaunlicher war die Geschichte, die uns einer der Motorradfahrer erzählte. Er war nämlich letztes Jahr mit seinem Motorrad einmal um die ganze Welt gefahren. Kaum zu glauben, aber er hat das in nur 3 Monaten geschafft wofür wir 3-4 Jahre eingeplant haben."

Hallo Martin und Nadine,

schreibe euch gerade vom freien Internet Zugang vom Singapur Airport. Unsere 5 Wochen Neuseeland sind um und wir haben eure Reisetipps genutzt, vor allem die 3taegige Kanutour auf dem Wanganui River. Die Jungs haben das echt gut organisiert, es gab schoene Geschichten und leckeres Essen und nebenbei Hochwassen.

Just discovered your website, linked from another, while doing research for our summer tour, perhaps the cassiar hwy in BC. Great to hear that you are still going. We did a 1 year tour in 2003-2004. Sadly we needed to return home but we are planning our next extended tour in the next few years. We are inspired with the paddling and cycling.
